What I Wore Wednesday 1/23/13

Hi, folks!

This week I wore:

1. A jacket (Gap, thrifted) I love and rarely wear. 

It goes against my 'black and navy make me crazy' motto, but I love the fit. It has a subtle plaid that you can barely see, so adds a little something to an otherwise simple crisp white Brooks Brothers shirt and Jones NY pants.

 The jewelry is Swarovski.

2. A top (Talbots) usually reserved for summer.

We had ok temps last week (50s one day), so I broke out a warm skirt (Zara, thrifted) and wore gray tights and bright accessories to match. Perhaps it matched too much? Belt is Loft Outlet and shoes are Calvin Klein.

 3. An oldie, but goodie Talbots jacket.

I love this jacket. I remember finding it a week before Christmas on the clearance rack for $40. It's something I get to wear a few times a year and it works with skirts and pants. I wore it with thrifted pants from the Limited and a thrifted Victoria's Secret long sleeve tee. Shoes are Easy Spirit.

I love Jones NY pashmina scarves and usually buy mine at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Every color you can imagine pops up at some point during the year. The earrings came from TJ Maxx too.

4. A bold necklace (Jcrew)

We were treated to a great dinner with friends. Tee is another Victoria's Secret thrifted find, sweater is Jcrew and jeans are from the Gap. My green Born shoes kind of balanced the necklace.

 5. Simple sweater (thrifted) and jeans (Hollister, thrifted) with Clarks boots and a layering tank from Jockey.

 One of my favorite Lisa Leonard pieces that says "live in the light" with Pandora earrings.
